Parts of the Australian Alps Walking Track may not be marked, or may be incorrectly marked, on topographical or commercial walking maps. The Australian Alps Liaison Committee has produced a series of ‘sketch’ maps to allow you to transfer the route onto your more detailed walking maps.

These maps are a guide only, and are not designed to be used for navigation or in the field. Do not use these maps for walking.

Please note that the land management agencies responsible for sections of the track and the Australian Alps National Parks Co-operative Management Program can not guarantee the accuracy or currency of the information contained in these electronic resources. We also strongly advise that users and visitors to the AAWT should not rely solely on an electronic device such as a GPS or smartphone for navigation and route finding, and that you should be proficient in the use of topographic map and compass for navigation for the AAWT.
